In the framework of project dissemination and achieved results exploitation, the NEST4WB consortium members participated to 29th International Scientific and Professional Conference INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY 2025, from February 19-22, 2025, in Žabljak, Montenegro.
The Conference presents scientific and professional results, organizes discussions, overview lectures and short educational courses and presents development and production projects and programs. The work at the Conference took place within the framework of author sections, round tables, lectures and presentations.
The aim of the Conference is a comprehensive and multidisciplinary review of current events in the field of information and communication technologies. This aim is achieved through various forms of work at the Conference.
During the first day, a total of four sessions were held, two of which were held live – in the conference rooms of the Žabljak Hotel and the Gorske oči Hotel – while the remaining two were organized in a virtual format.
The plenary part of the program was dedicated to the dissemination of the results of the research projects EuroCC2/EuroCC4SEE, TRACEWINDU, AI AGE, NEST4WB, FishEUTrust, Danube DNA, MontEDIH, DERHE, GenAI HPC4WB, COMMECT and EUREKA.
A total of 70 participants participated in the activities of the first day of the conference, while 23 participants took a place in plenary part of the program. The break between sessions was used for a joint lunch in a restaurant at the Savin Kuk ski resort, while the working day was rounded off with a welcome cocktail, in a pleasant atmosphere, with conversations and exchange of experiences among the participants.
The second day was marked by science, HPC and regional cooperation
The day began with sections dedicated to the presentation of scientific papers, where researchers from various fields of information technology presented the latest results of their research. Participants had the opportunity to analyze key topics and challenges in the industry through interactive discussions. In parallel, a poster section was held, where young researchers and doctoral students presented their projects and ideas in direct communication with the conference participants.
Based on the first year experience and the achieved results, NEST4WB consortium members published and presented total seven scientific papers, three papers in the poster section and four papers in live presentations.
In the framework of NEST4WB project agenda, the first session started at 13h with the welcome speech by the event chair UDG/FPRN prof. Nela Milosevic, followed by Project Coordinator prof. Bojan Prlincevic.
After the general presentation of project results and achievements during the first year, SC, PMC and QAC meetings took a place.
The final day of the conference was dynamic and eventful, with an emphasis on strategic partnerships and future directions of information technology development. In the morning, sections for the presentation of scientific papers were held, where researchers presented innovative methods and applications of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and software optimization. These sessions were an opportunity to connect the academic community and industry through a discussion of practical challenges and possible solutions in the IT sector.
In the framework of NEST4WB Agenda, there were three topics for the third day session:
- Report of status of Course adoption (WP3 Leader & all WB partners);
- Report of status of equipment purchase and laboratory establishment (WP3 Leader & All WB partners);
- Formation of partner’s network – workshop (Coordinator and All WB partners).
Special accent have been put on Formation of the partners network that would serve to future project development and successful achievement of all project goals and objectives.
