As part of the Erasmus+ NEST4WB project, University Sinergija organized a series of educational activities during Green Week 2026, focusing on renewable energy technologies, intelligent energy systems, and sustainable development. The programme brought together university staff, students, representatives of industry, high school students, and interested members of the public through a set of expert presentations and discussions dedicated to the future of green energy.
The activities addressed a wide range of topics, including the application of photovoltaic systems, integration of solar power plants into electrical grids, hybrid energy systems, energy storage technologies, and the deployment of solar installations in residential, commercial, and public buildings. Participants also explored the solar energy potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina and discussed opportunities for expanding renewable energy solutions in the region.
Particular attention was devoted to the application of artificial intelligence and intelligent energy management systems for optimizing electricity production, improving energy efficiency, and supporting the development of future smart energy systems. The programme also examined the economic and technical aspects of hybrid power systems, highlighting their contribution to energy security and sustainable development.
As part of Green Week, University Sinergija also strengthened cooperation with the business sector by establishing new partnerships with regional companies and organizations active in the field of energy and sustainable technologies. These activities further supported the objectives of the NEST4WB project by promoting knowledge exchange, cooperation between academia and industry, and the advancement of green competencies in higher education.
