The five-day event organized at the University of East Sarajevo (UES) within the framework of the Green Week initiative under the Erasmus+ NEST4WB project aimed to promote sustainable energy practices, digitalization, and green transition concepts in higher education. The program brought together students, academic staff, researchers, and industry representatives through a series of educational and promotional activities focused on modern energy technologies and sustainable development.
The activities included lectures, presentations, practical demonstrations, and laboratory-based sessions related to renewable energy systems, smart grids, energy efficiency, digital technologies, and modern measurement systems. Special attention was dedicated to strengthening practical competencies and promoting the application of innovative technologies in the energy sector.
The main objective of the event was to enhance participants’ knowledge and awareness of green and digital transformation processes, while supporting the development of modern teaching and research capacities at UES. The event also contributed to strengthening cooperation between academia and industry, encouraging the exchange of knowledge and experiences among project partners.
Within the broader context of the EU Green Week initiative, the event highlighted the importance of education, innovation, and research in addressing environmental challenges and supporting the transition toward sustainable, low-carbon, and energy-efficient solutions. Through its activities, the University of East Sarajevo reaffirmed its commitment to promoting environmental responsibility and sustainability-oriented education in line with the goals of the NEST4WB project.
